Two Shops Nearby sell western products,
imported from Hong Kong we're told, but they are
generally more expensive than in the United
States. A box of cereal, for instance, costs $4 to $6.
We did not buy some items, such as taco
shells and spaghetti sauce, because they cost too much.
Some items, however, such as Snickers candy
bars cost less than 30 cents each. (photo by Gwen)
Many Products that we are used to
in the U.S. are produced in China, such as milk, flour, mandarin
oranges, yogurt, ice cream bars, crackers,
salted peanuts, cooking oil, strawberry jam, etc. (photo by Gwen)
