Hong Kong, Our First Days in China

Stuffed with People. We arrived in Hong Kong on February 13th, just a couple hours after the Chinese New
Year fireworks display over Victoria Harbor. The city was "stuffed with people," according to Alyssa, on spring holiday.
Bustling, glitzy Nathan Street on the Kowloon Penninsula was especially busy. (photo by Aaron)

Harbor Cruise. A night cruise and meal with Hong Kong's dazzling skyline in the background is a
must-do in this city, called the gateway to the Orient. (photo by Gwen)

View from the Peak. Another must-do in Hong Kong is a tram-ride to the top of Victoria Peak on
Hong Kong Island to view the harbor and Kowloon Penninsula. (photo by Aaron)

Sampan Ride. Riding a sampan (a small boat), we enjoyed a tour of Aberdeen, a fishing village.
We saw houseboats, a floating restaurant, and small, one-person, fishing boats. (photo by ?)
