Enjoy walking and photographing the local wildlife. Eagles, Pelicans, Bluebirds and other birds and animals, too numerous to list, are native to Lake Benton.
Hole-in-the Mountain Prairie, a 585 acre Nature Conservancy located just 1. 5 miles South of Lake Benton, offers a wildflower collection of rare and unusual plants on this virgin prairie of Southwestern Minnesota.
Enjoy Lake Benton's Saddle Horse Holiday and Homecoming the third weekend of June yearly. Hundreds of horses parade and participate in equestrian events as Lake Bentonites offer activities for your enjoyment all weekend.
