Wednesday, November 7
9:30 a.m.  Quilting.  Quilts were shipped in October  so we're starting over.  Come and help!

Wednesday, November 14
7:30 p.m. Ruth Circle. Hostess is Roxanne Bass;  Bible Study by Karen Lund.

Sunday, November 18
Thankoffering Sunday.  Bring your Thankoffering envelope to church on the 18th, or put in the offering plate anytime during the month of November.
The ALCW is planning a bake sale following the worship service. Baked goods would be appreciated.  (Or if you prefer, you can be a customer.) Some of the ladies are planning to get together to make lefse to sell at the bake sale.

9:30 a.m.  Hannah Circle.  Hostess is Rachael Westgard; Bible Study by Priscilla Sweeney.

Wednesday, November 28
9:00 a.m. We will be decorating for Christmas.  Come and help!!

There is
no regular ALCW meeting in November.  ALCW officers will meet to work on the 2002 booklets - DATE and TIME will be announced later.

LOOKING AHEAD: We are having a hard time keeping our ALCW going. With a big share of the women working, we decided to try a Saturday morning meeting in December.  We will have a business meeting and our Christmas program. Mark your calendars for Saturday, December 8. Brunch will be at 9:30 followed by a program. We will also have a couple of evening meetings throughout the year.

JULIE ELIZABETH FISCHER was baptized on October 21, 2001.  Her parents are Rod and Joann Fischer, and joins sisters Katie and Kim, and brother Richie.  Julie's baptismal sponsors are Thomas and Janice Brandenburger.

Castlewood CROP Walk Helps Those In Need

On October 14 at 2:00 p.m., 31 walkers and helpers from five area churches gathered at ALC. The total donations raised was $1,561.00.  Top fundraisers were Russell Carter and John Top. Thank you to all who walked and/or donated. Walkers from ALC were Russell Carter, John Top, Jessica Rohrich, Kari Nolte, Marlys Kuntz, Amanda Aderhold, Lance Swenson, Chase Walder, Chuck Juntti, Kaylea Karst, Roxanne Bass, Lori Kiihl, Jacki Sandstrom, Pastor Sandstrom, Dennis Lund, Jesse Kiihl and Roxy Swenson.
Thank you to Roxy Swenson and her team for coordinating the walk. What a great way for all these children of God to take seriously our Lord's love and to bring His love especially to people in need!

A Lutheran Marriage Encounter weekend will be held at Blue Cloud Abbey in Marvin, SD. This will be Lutheran Marriage Encounter weekend held in a Catholic Retreat Center. Rooms are like motel rooms. It is a beautiful "out of this world" place! The date is November 9-11, 2001. Only 17 rooms are available so sign up early! It is located a little more than 30 miles north of Watertown in NE South Dakota. For more information or to register call Dennis and Kathy Reyelts at (605)938-4045. Lutherans Outdoors in SD presents NeSoDak's annual lutefisk suppers November 30, December 1 and December 8. Seating begins at 6:30 p.m. each night, and you are invited for hot cider and conversation at 6:00.
