Lynn Vetter gave the Secretary's report. Sharon made the motion to approve as read. Craig seconded. Motion carried.  Gareth gave the Treasurer's report. Craig made the motion to approve, Ernie seconded. Motion carried.  The Church Council requested that a note be put in the bulletin to contact Gareth Hamen to redirect any donation, if they choose, to go back to the individuals who donated to the church TV broadcast as it now seems out of our reach. Again, the budget was discussed and ideas were reviewed for way in which ALC can continue to grow our ties.

Lynn Borer showed the Council a sample bible which will possibly be used in our Church for each pew. The cost wold be approximately $17.50 each. This Bible has very large print for easy reading. Ernie made the motion to have a signup sheet for anyone wanting to donate $17.50 for a Bible in memory of someone for any reason. Rod seconded. Motion carried.

Craig reported he is still working on the church bell, having trouble finding a small electric motor to work properly. Also reported the Parsonage windows are here and Loren Mack is in the process of staining them. Lynn Borer reported the cross on the outside east end of the church is not working. He will check with Stein Sign as to its repair. Roy will check with Sherwin on the Baptism chest boxes. Lynn Vetter will check with Danny Davis on lawn care for the season. Also brought to the Council's attention by Chuck Juntti and Doug Strait was that the overhead microphone is not working. They are checking on a replacement and cost.

The Church Council and the Worship Committee decided to help Pastor John with an upcoming church service of his choosing due to his busy schedule these past couple of weeks and some health problems. Rod will coordinate this with Pastor John.
