Those present: Kay Zimiga, Lisa Janssen, Roy Wiersma, Craig Bass, Dennis Strait, John Top, Sherwin DeKam, Gareth Hamen and Lynn Vetter. Not present: Ernie Karst and Pastor John.  Also attending later in the meeting was Dan Tvedt, representative from Lutheran Outdoors, from Sinai, SD.
  John Top opened the meeting and Kay Zimiga gave devotions. Gareth will provide devotions for next month's meeting. Lynn read the minutes from the October meeting. Craig made the motion to approve as read, Kay seconded.  Motion carried.
  Gareth gave the Treasurer's report for the month of October. Craig made the motion to approve, Lisa seconded. Motion carried.
  Property Committee: Craig reported the sewer vent seal for the Parsonage roof has been installed by himself and Brent Bass. Sherwin reported that Jim Bohls has ordered 5 windows for the Parsonage and will be here soon and plan to be installed yet this year. Roy and Dennis will soon be adding a railing in the Parsonage garage steps.
  Dan Tvedt arrived and handed out a brochure on Lutheran Outdoors in SD. He gave a brief overview of the 4 different ranches which families and young adults have access to in SD. He wanted all to know these camps are an extension of our ministry and it is important to keep us informed. He also asked for continued support in any way possible. He also provided the Council with a 7-minute videotape of the 4 different camps and what they provide. Mr. Tvedt left the meeting by awarding ALC a plaque thanking us for prayer and financial support. The Church Council thanked him for his presentation. A brochure will be on the table in the Narthex for anyone interested in Lutheran Outdoors camps.
  Pastor John wanted it to be announced Thanksgiving Eve Communion services will be 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday November 21, and Advent Services will be 7:00 p.m. on December 5, 12 and 19.
  Outreach Committee: John Top announced that ALC now has its own web site, www.itctel.com/americlc.  Pull it up and give any comments to the Council.

OLD BUSINESS:
  John Top announced we will be getting the Thanksgiving Dinner ready on Saturday the 17th, and anyone willing to help is to show up at the school at 9:00 a.m.  The menu will be turkey, ham, mashed potatoes, dressing, corn and dessert. We will serve Sunday, November 18th at 11:15 a.m.  The youth are to help in the dining room.
  John Top, Dennis Strait and Pastor John did an annual review with Kay Carter, church secretary, as required and acted accordingly. Kay Zimiga made the motion, Craig seconded. Motion carried. The Church Council wanted to thank Kay Carter for her diligent service and professionalism.

NEW BUSINESS:
  Dennis made the motion to accept Rodney Fischer and children as members of our congregation, Gareth seconded. Motion carried.

Dennis made the motion to adjourn. Craig seconded. Motion carried. The Council closed with the Lord's Prayer.
