SERVANTS NEEDED
We request servants to come forward, on the path of Jesus who washed feet, to serve the Watertown Banquet on February 4 - - late afternoon/evening: set up, servers, clean up. This is for folks in Watertown who are poor or otherwise are in need of companionship and support.
Serve your brothers and sisters on Sunday mornings, too. Sign up to usher, read, assist with Communion, serve Fellowship, etc.
-------------------------------
Remember Christ for you, and respond in a multitude of ways, serve. Think about teaching/helping in Vacation Bible School and Sunday School this year, starting a care ministry, pray each day for your church, be a welcoming person at worship, smile, bring an offering, etc. God's mission is worthy of your involvement.
-------------------------------
The Annual Meeting is January 20, 2002 at 10:15 a.m. All reports to be included in the Annual Report must be turned into the office by January 9 to be included; earlier if possible.

In January pray for our ELCA Missionaries: Rev. James & Luray Wiberg - parish ministry in Austria; Rebecca Bengston-Carson and Frank Carson - teachers in Bangladesh; Karl & Karen Peters - parish ministry in Bolivia; Allan & Marie Krahn - seminary teacher & librarian in Brazil.
Pray for peace and justice in the Middle East. Be a part of the ecumenical prayer vigil for the Christian communities in Jerusalem, Bethlehem, and others and for all those who are suffering in the Holy Land, for Palestinians and Israelis. Pray together as a family, as friends.
You are invited to the 17th Annual Watertown Area Benefit for Lutheran Social Services. Join other concerned Christians at the Lakeshore restaurant at 1 p.m. on Sunday, February 10. A pledge or contribution to support LSS programs in our area will be received. Must have reservations. Call Jill Gronewold at LSS 1-800-568-2401.
Camping Sunday - January 27th. Here is a heads-up on our Camping Sunday for our families, children and youth. On Jan. 27 I will go to every Sunday School room, 3rd Grade and up, to encourage our youth to attend a summer Bible Camp. Parents, be thinking about this already; camps are great fun and can be wonderful faith stimulators. Tell me schedule possibilities for the summer. I hope we can send/bring our kids to Klein, Outlaw, and NeSoDak this summer. Registrations will be called in to LO on Monday, February 4, 8 a.m., so it is important to be talking about this soon and making a family decision. Could a camp week even be a late Christmas present? How much better for the most important thing - life with God, than a toy. Full week youth camps cost $250 - $270; $215 for mini- 3rd/4th Grade camp; and family camps cost $470 - $1200 depending on number attending and ages. ALC will likely again offer camperships for all youth attending. Ask me for info. Pastor John
