Pray for our brothers and sisters who are or have been ill: Barbara O’Neill, Shelly Walder, Don Walraven, Carl Miller, Elsbeth Carlisle, Bill Schmit, Duane Selchert, Karl Coning, and Joann Ries. Pray for the families of Bud Walraven, Bea Wiarda, and James Mickey. Pray for our military people in Iraq/Afghanistan: Dana Walraven, Gerry Somsen, Matthew Haug, Jay Goldhorn, Cole Namken, Todd Moss. A Mission Prayer: Gracious God, we give you thanks for the witness of Christians, known and unknown, in Austria, Liechtenstein, and Switzerland. Today: Organist: Karen Lund. Communion Ware: Cheryl Hogstad, Kari Nolte, Lorna Nielsen Communion Server: Sharon Hyde Offerings received last Sunday were: $1206.50 - General Fund, $188.00 - Building Fund, $12.00 - Mission Fund. Today we celebrate our stewardship lives with a Consecration Sunday and Luncheon. We thank Dr. Paul Larson for serving as our Guest Leader, council and consecration team members for their work and everyone for your dedication to God’s congregation here at ALC. You are invited to the luncheon. The Estimated Giving cards received today will be seen only by the Financial Secretary and an assistant and as always will be confidential. The Funeral Service of Donald “Bud” Walraven was at ALC on Thursday, November 4th. God’s comfort and hope to Bud’s family and friends. The Watertown Banquet on Monday, November 15 will be served by our confirmation students, parents, and mentors. We request bars or cookies from the congregation. Please sign up for them in the narthex. The Fellowship offering for the next several Sundays will help support the Watertown Banquet meal. Additional helpers are welcome. Please note that Hannah circle will meet Wednesday, November 17 at 9:00 a.m. (note the change). ALCW questionnaires are in your mailboxes. Please fill out today and put in the ALCW mailbox. Thank you. If you did not register for a Lutheran Outdoors Bible Camp but want to attend, talk with Robin Gabur soon. Registration still may be possible. The availability of Equal Trade coffee is postponed until next Sunday after worship. If you have a special flavor or type of coffee you want, talk with Jacki Sandstrom. A fellowship blend will be available for the first time. ALC’s Community Thanksgiving Dinner is Sunday, Nov. 21st at 11:00 a.m. at ALC. Come and bring your friends and neighbors. We need 1 or 2 people to step forward to be co-chair this year and lead the dinner in 2005. How about you? Talk to Ernie Karst or Rod Fischer. To still do the Lutefisk Dinner on Dec. 3, 4, 5, 10, or 11 at NeSoDak Bible Camp call for reservations at 605-947-4440. Bring your Ronald McDonald House pop can tabs in by November 14, next Sunday. The Hamlin County Thrivent Annual meeting is here next Sunday, Nov. 14 for all Thrivent members. A program is at 4:30 p.m. and supper will be served by our ALCW at 5:30 p.m. If you know of anyone in need who should receive warm clothes (caps, mittens, coats, boots, etc.) call Carna Miller or Pastor John soon. The ALCW Fall Bazaar and Bake Sale funds this service activity. |
