LO Camp Sunday will be Jan. 11th. You can pick up a Camp Schedule. Offerings received last Sunday totaled $1,914.00 in the General Fund and $25.00 Harvest Festival (General Fund), $66.00 for Advent, $341.00 in the Building Fund and $1250.00 Harvest Festival –(Building Fund), $10.00 in the Mission Fund, $22.00 Fellowship and $57.00 Coffee Sales. ALC Youth are selling homemade peanut brittle for $5.00 a bag during fellowship. We will also sell it this Wed. night the 10th. Youth will be going caroling on Sunday Dec. 21st. Meet at the church at 2;30. Anyone who wants to join us is welcome. BBQ’s and hot chocolate will be served after caroling at the church. Fellowship Servers are needed for December 28th. If you are able, please, sign up on the narthex clipboard. Pastor Sam Hatlestad will provide pulpit supply that Sunday. Sign sheets for Serving Fellowship and Reading Scripture for 2004 are in the narthex. If you know of anyone needing winter coats, boots or mittens, contact Pastor, Bonnie Top or Carna Miller. We invite you to our Wednesday Evening Advent Services December 17 at 7:00 p.m. Prepare your hearts for "The Approaching Light." Our Christmas Eve Candlelight Eucharist will be Dec. 24 at 7:00 p.m. Offering envelopes are in your mail boxes, please pick them up. If you were missed and want envelopes please contact Pricilla at 793-2356. Pastor John and Jacki invite you to a Christmas Reception in the fellowship hall next Sunday after worship. Thank you to our choir for its ministry of music to the glory of God and to the benefit of our faith and worship life in so many services. Child to Child Vitamin Project Children in rural Nicaragua often do not receive adequate nutrition. The SD Synod is a Campanion Synod to the Lutheran Church of Nicaragua. We parthner with them in their ministry of providing better child nutrition through a vitamin project. This project focuses on CHILDREN MINISTERING TO CHILDREN. Each child is invited to donate a 300+ size bottle of chewable vitamins with iron. Bring then to ALC by January 18th. |
