Announcements: Visitors and members, welcome! A Blessed Easter to you!! Pray for our brothers and sisters who are or have been ill: Shelly Walder, Joann Ries, Leola Wenzlick and Walter Kalt. Pray for friends and family of Carol Fritz, and for all who mourn. Pray for peace in Iraq, Israel/Palestine, Uganda, Haiti and in all the world, for the people of these nations, and for the safety of our soldiers. Pray for Kaylea, Beth, Chase, April, Lisa, and Nicole who will affirm their Baptisms on May 9th. Parents & Students, 6-8th Grades, attend GORP a fun learning event at Castlewood School this Thursday, sponsored by the Castlewood Ministerial Association & the school. I hope you will attend to help bless your family. The Fellowship Offering today will go to our Lutheran Outdoors Bible Camp Youth. 13 youth are going. That’s terrific! Let’s give them our support. We need 2 lay persons to attend the 2004 SD Synod Assembly Friday, June 4 to Sunday, June 6th. If you would like to be a delegate contact Rod Fischer or Pastor John ASAP. Our congregation’s contribution total is $6,025.00. Our Bible campers will be selling candles door to door and in the narthex. Scripture Readers and Fellowship servers are needed for May 23 & 30 and for this summer. Please volunteer by signing on the sign up sheet in the narthex. If you would use a nursery during the Sunday morning service, please call Barbi Schulte (793-9144) or Brenda McKee (882-3130). The Education Committee is looking for volunteers to coordinate VBS, to be teachers, helpers and craft coordinators. Please contact Dee Vetter at 793-2229 or Brenda McKee at 882-3130 if you are interested. We need the following from the congregation for crafts during Bible School: empty tissue boxes, shoe boxes, Sports magazines, paper grocery bags, 6-12 oz. empty jars with lids (salsa, olives, etc.) Hannah Circle has cards - Confirmation – Graduation. We have lots of pretty napkins – 50 cents per card or box of 12 - $4.50 - $5.00. Call Carna or just stop in – will bring to church so you can take a look. ALCW need bath towels about 20 x 30, baby toys, Ivory soap – bath size and light rubber gloves. They are for our Global mission – mid-wife kits. Please pick-up cake and cookie sheets, etc. left in the church. Lutheran College Fairs 2003-2004 are being held in Sioux Falls, SD on Wed. April 28 at Radisson Encore Hotel, 4300 Empire Place. Financial aid Seminar at 6:30 p.m. and Reception 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. Telephone 605-361-6684. Web site www.lutherancolleges.org. All families attending a Lutheran College Fair event will receive an application fee waiver. The High School Sunday School Class is serving a benefit breakfast brunch following church services next Sunday, May 2, for Shelly Walder and family. A free-will offering will be taken. Come join us for brunch after church. Bible School will be held the week of May 24- 28th. Time will be 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.. Program time will be announced later. Helpers are still needed. Also, anyone wanting to bring cookies and juice for the week is welcome to do so. All is appreciated. If you know of visitors wanting to come, please contact Dee Vetter so material can be ordered.
